Error
ArcGIS Server returns the error message "ERROR 000840: The value is not a Text File" when using DETextFile as the parameter's datatype in publishing geoprocessing service.

This behavior is as designed. Although both the DETextFile and DEFile parameter's data types are converted to GPDataFile when a script tool is published as a web tool, ArcGIS Server retains the underlying validation rules of the original parameter type.Solución alternativa
Use DEFile as the parameter's datatype instead of DETextFile.
