Error
A Web Map Service (WMS) does not display the legend in Map Viewer but displays the legend in Map Viewer Classic following similar 'Add Layer from URL' workflows.

Cannot reproduce this issue. The WMS to load all those images for the legend took some time but it did load in both the properties panel and the legend panel.Solución alternativa
Create the map in Map Viewer Classic, add the WMS, and save the map. The legend is displayed in the new Map Viewer:
This workaround is not applicable in all cases. Add other layers with functions that are only available in the new Map Viewer. Then, import another service that has the same problem. When launching the new web map in the old Map Viewer Classic, many settings are lost as the functions are not yet available there.
Use the ArcGIS Online Assistant to add the legendURL property to the web map.
