Solución alternativa

1. In ArcMap, on the main menu, click File > Load Production PDF Settings.
2. Select and open the XML file.
3. On the Export Map dialog box, under Options, click the Format tab.
4. On the Format tab, for Picture Symbol, select 'Vectorize layers with bitmap markers/fills'.
5. On the Format tab, check (i.e. enable) 'Convert Marker Symbols to Polygons'.
6. Save the XML.
