A line feature service published to the ArcGIS Enterprise portal with a symbology that has shape markers configured displays the lines incorrectly when viewed using the service's REST URL.

The layer drawingInfo is a simple renderer at the REST endpoint, and it is used in this case. The advanced vector symbol is stored at the item level, which contains the Cartographic Information Model (CIM) symbol and will give you the shape markers along a line and the proper placement.Solución alternativa
- Map services do not produce this behavior.
- If the feature service is first added to the portal as an item (using the REST URL) and then brought into a map, the behavior is not seen. This is the case for both ArcGIS Online and the ArcGIS Enterprise portal, but only when the feature service is published as hosted to the ArcGIS Server. When published as referenced, it continues to produce the behavior.
