ArcGIS Hub Deprecation

Description

ArcGIS Hub will be deprecating support for Google Analytics Universal Analytics. Google is deprecating Universal Analytics and replacing it with Google Analytics 4, their next-generation measurement solution for collecting anonymous tracking data. On July 1, 2023, Universal Analytics properties will stop tracking activity on websites.

Recommendation

To continue tracking anonymous user activity on their Hub Sites, customers that currently use Google Analytics (Universal Analytics) will be required to create a new Google Analytics 4 property and enter that Measurement ID into ArcGIS Hub before July 1, 2023. Google will stop collecting data from Universal Analytics properties on July 1, 2023, but according to Google Support, previously processed data will still be accessible for at least six months. The new Measurement ID (formatted like G-XXXXXXXXXX) can be entered within the Settings menu, under Tracking & Consent.
