Cause
- The Microsoft Access Database Engine driver is not installed.
- The installed Microsoft Access Database Engine driver is not compatible.
- The Excel files are password-protected.
- The Excel files are corrupted.
Solution or Workaround
Depending on the cause, use one of the options below to resolve the issue.
Install the Microsoft Access Database Engine driver
Install the compatible Microsoft Access Database Engine driver on the machine. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Install the Microsoft Access Database Engine driver for steps and more information.
Use Excel files that are not password-protected
In ArcGIS Pro, unlock the original Excel files if necessary, or use new Excel files that are not password-protected.
Import new Excel files
In ArcGIS Pro, import new Excel files instead of using the corrupted files. Ensure the new Excel files are formatted for use in ArcGIS Pro. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Format a table in Microsoft Excel for use in ArcGIS Pro for more information.
