Deprecation: Map-based automated data validation from ArcGIS Data Reviewer
ArcGIS Data Reviewer introduced data validation capabilities for layers and standalone tables contained in an map document as part of the ArcGIS Pro 2.0 release. Tools supporting this capability include a rule-authoring interface (Reviewer Rules), associated tools for executing (Run Reviewer Rules), and monitoring (History) of map-based automated validation. This functionality will be removed and will not be available in future releases, starting at ArcGIS Pro 3.0.
To prepare for this change, Esri recommends that Data Reviewer customers consider migrating their automated review workflows to Data Reviewer’s capabilities available in ArcGIS Pro and Attribute rules.
Several resources exist to help make the switch to Attribute rule-based workflows:
- Migrating to attribute rules using ArcGIS Data Reviewer
- Implement automated quality control (Tutorial)
- Reviewer rule design
