Enable the selection tool in ArcGIS Dashboards

Summary

When editing a map in ArcGIS Dashboards, the selection tool is useful in performing interactive actions, such as zooming, flashing, filtering, or panning a selection of features in a feature layer. The selection tool is available when Layer Actions is enabled for one or more layers in the map.

This article provides a workflow to enable the selection tool in ArcGIS Dashboards.

Procedure

  1. Log in to ArcGIS Online.
  2. Navigate to Content > My Content.
  3. Browse to the desired dashboard, click More Options Image of the More Options button, and click Edit Dashboard.
  4. In ArcGIS Dashboards, enable Layer Actions for one or more layers in the map. Refer to ArcGIS Dashboards: Configure actions on dashboard elements for steps to do this.

  1. Click Done to save the configurations.

Note:
To disable the selection tool, click Delete Image of the displayed selection tool, and remove all the previously added layer actions.
