Enable the selection tool in ArcGIS Dashboards

Summary

When editing a map in ArcGIS Dashboards, the selection tool is useful in performing interactive actions, such as zooming, flashing, filtering, or panning a selection of features in a feature layer. The selection tool is available when Layer Actions is enabled for one or more layers in the map.

This article provides a workflow to enable the selection tool in ArcGIS Dashboards.

Procedure

1. Log in to ArcGIS Online.
2. Navigate to Content > My Content.
3. Browse to the desired dashboard, click More Options , and click Edit Dashboard.
4. In ArcGIS Dashboards, enable Layer Actions for one or more layers in the map. Refer to ArcGIS Dashboards: Configure actions on dashboard elements for steps to do this.

5. Click Done to save the configurations.

The image below shows the selection tool displayed in the upper-left corner of the map in ArcGIS Dashboards.

Note:
To disable the selection tool, click Delete , and remove all the previously added layer actions.
