Install ArcPad 10.2.5 or 10.2.6 on a Windows 10 64-bit computer

Summary

ArcPad is not supported on a Windows 10  64-bit computer.  However, the software can be installed and made to perform correctly with a couple of adjustments to the installation process.

Installation of ArcPad required installation of the Windows Mobile Data Center application. However, Microsoft discontinued support for that application. To replace ArcPad, Esri developed Collector for ArcGIS for field data collection.

However, many users still have data that was collected using ArcPad, and need to have access to that data.

Procedure

1. Download and install the WMDC 6.1, and the WMDC-fixes-for-Win10.msi from the Juniper Systems download page.
2. After installation, reboot the system.
3. Install ArcPad 10.2.5 or 10.2.6, or run a repair on the software after reboot.

Note:
These versions of ArcPad are compatible with ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1.
