Problem: Options file for License Manager will not work, even when formatted correctly
A correctly formatted options file is not being read by the License Manager.
The following line can be found in the "lmgrd9.log" file, which is present in the following locations:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\License10.x\bin in windows or $HOME/arcgis/license10.x/bin
(ARCGIS) Using options file: "="
The ports on the License Manager have been 'locked' down improperly.
Solution or Workaround
- Check the Service.txt file in the License Manager\bin folder.
- Remove the spaces after the word PORT and after the equal sign (=).
- Save the file.
- STOP and START the License Manager.
The previous line in the "lmgrd9.log" that read " (ARCGIS) Using options file: "="" should now contain the path to the "ARCGIS.opt" file. The options file should now be working.
