Concurrent Use licenses do not display in ArcGIS Administrator

Description

After upgrading ArcGIS for Desktop 10.5.1 to ArcGIS Desktop 10.6 on a client machine, Concurrent Use licenses do not display in ArcGIS Administrator despite being connected to ArcGIS License Server Administrator 10.6 on the host machine.

Cause

The FLEXnet Publisher FNPLicensingService version is not updated in the upgrade to ArcGIS Desktop 10.6. The FNPLicensingService version must be the same as the version in ArcGIS License Server Administrator 10.6.

To determine the FNPLicensing Service version, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the following directory:

   C:\Program Files (x86)\Common FIles\Macrovision Shared\FlexNet Publisher\FNPLicensingService

2. Right-click FNPLicenseService > Properties > Details. Check the Product version on both the host and client machine.

Solution or Workaround

Install the following patch to update the FlexNet Publisher version on the client machine.

• ArcGIS Security Update for Flexera CVE-2016-10395

Install the patch, reboot the client machine, uninstall, and reinstall ArcGIS Desktop 10.6. Upon completion, the FlexNet Publisher version is updated, and the licenses can be viewed in ArcGIS Administrator.
