Problem: ArcGIS Server Manager does not generate a server statistic report

In ArcGIS Server Manager, attempts to generate a server statistics report via Logs > Statistics, returns a blank report despite having the data necessary to generate the report. In each report, even when the services on the server is used, each report generated appears as blank.

This issue can occur due to one or both of the following causes.

  • In each report, clicking an individual service must display data visible along the bottom of the graph representing 0. If there are no points here, this means the arcgis-loggsettings.json file is corrupted or missing in either one of the two designated folder locations. The folder locations are as follows:
<ArcGIS GIS Server installation drive>\arcgisserver\config-store

C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\etc
  • The permission settings in the Server Manager are not updated to reflect the changes in the system after upgrading to a new version.

Solution or Workaround

Depending on the cause, apply the following workaround(s) to resolve this issue.

  • If the arcgis-logsettings.json file is corrupted or missing:
Ensure a backup copy of the file(s) are made prior to moving or making any changes to the following folder locations.
  1. Navigate to each of the following folders to determine if the arcgis-logsettings.json file is missing.
<ArcGIS GIS Server installation drive>\arcgisserver\config-store

C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\etc
  1. If arcgis-logsettings.json is missing from one of the folders, make a copy of the file from the other folder (config_store or etc), and paste the copied file into the folder with the missing JSON file.
  • If the permission settings are outdated:
If this issue occurred after upgrading to a new version of ArcGIS GIS Server, run the ArcGIS Server Account Utility and configure the permission settings to allow access to the framework folder and the necessary sub-folders. These sub-folders are located at:
C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\etc
