Add a custom Geocode Service for Esri Maps for Dynamics CRM

Procedure



  1. Configure the Custom Geocode, or other Utility Service, in ArcGIS for Server. Please reference the link below for further details:

  2. Configure the Custom Geocode Service to be accessible from the internet. To accomplish this, it is likely that a firewall must be configured to allow access from the internet to ArcGIS for Server. Please reference the link below for information on how ArcGIS for Server interacts with firewalls.

  3. Configure Portal for ArcGIS to use a Custom Geocode, or other utility service, using the URL created in Step 2. Please see the different scenarios below, and select the instructions that best fit the current configuration.
    If the service is from a federated server

    If the service is not from a federated server and requires credentials

    If the service is not from a federated server and does not require credentials
  4. Configure Esri Maps for Dynamics CRM to use the instance of Portal for ArcGIS that has been configured to use the publicly-accessible geocode or other utility service.
