Note: ArcMap is in Mature support and will be retired March 1, 2026. There are no plans for future releases of ArcMap, and it is recommended that you migrate to ArcGIS Pro. See Migrate from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro for more information.
There are different versions for the Data Interoperability extension. ArcMap is a 32-bit application, and ArcGIS Pro is 64-bit, so the version of the extension depends on the application used.
To find the build number for the version of Data Interoperability extension installed with ArcMap, open ArcCatalog or ArcMap and click Customize > Extensions. Select the Data Interoperability extension from the list of installed extensions. The build number is displayed at the bottom of the window.
The build number for the Data Interoperability extension installed with ArcMAp 10.5.1 is 17271, as demonstrated in the screenshot below.

Note: Prior to version 10.1 of ArcGIS Desktop, the Data Interoperability extension was included with all other extensions in the software download. To better coordinate the distribution of the Data Interoperability extension with Safe Software, at 10.1 and subsequent versions, Data Interoperability is now separately downloaded and installed.
