PROBLEM

Issue with the ArcGIS Desktop Geocoding toolbar after applying a patch

Last Published: April 26, 2020

Description

Two patches for ArcGIS for Desktop have been replaced due to an issue with the geocoding toolbar after installing the patch. Because of this issue, the application was unable to find configuration information, particularly for the Geocoding toolbar.

Cause

During the patching process, registry keys were reset to invalid values due to incorrect strings in the ArcGIS 10.3 for Desktop Final install.

Solution or Workaround

Each ArcGIS for Desktop setup has been rebuilt with a 'B' designator to overwrite the existing patch. This corrects the Geocoding toolbar issue.

• If the patch has already been downloaded and installed, please download the B version and install it over the top of the current installation.

• If the patch has already been downloaded but not yet installed, please discard it and download the B patch.
