Spatial reference of a grid raster dataset cannot be defined

Description

When the spatial reference of a grid raster dataset is defined or updated through the dataset Properties, and the dataset is stored in a directory with a path name containing special characters, the change is not reflected.

Cause

This is expected behavior, as there are certain naming restrictions set for the grid raster format. The naming restrictions include special characters, which are not supported by the grid raster format. Special characters may include accents and umlauts as well as non-alphanumeric characters.
