Description

When a web map is shared publicly in a Story Map application, users are prompted to log in to an ArcGIS Online for Organizations account.

Cause

The problem occurs when one or more layers in the web map are only available to users with an ArcGIS Online for Organizations subscription. This causes the web map to be inaccessible to the public and requires users to identify as members of an organization to view the web map in the Story Map application.

Solution or Workaround

Remove layers only available to users with an ArcGIS Online for Organizations subscription, and ensure all layers in the web map are shared publicly. This prevents the application from requiring ArcGIS Online for Organizations credentials. Any attachment in the Story Map application must also be publicly shared.
