Bug: Displaying image services that are published from a mosaic dataset with a vector field data type hangs
Displaying image services that are published from a mosaic dataset with a vector field data type may hang, if the service is large and uncompressed.
A mosaic dataset created from a multidimensional raster type (netCDF, GRIB, or HDF) is 64-bit by default. If it is not compressed, the image request size exceeds the ArcSOC heap size setting.
Set the compression format when publishing the image service.
- Right-click the mosaic dataset and click 'Share as Image Service'.
- In the Service Editor, click the Parameters page, and on the Parameter page, click the button to set the Allowed compression methods.
- In the Configure Allow List dialog, choose the Default Method as LERC and keep the rest as default. Click OK.
- Click Publish, to publish the image service.
