Error: Could not find any recognizable digits
Error Message
When attempting to set up ArcGIS Web Adaptor, the following error message is received:
"Error: Could not find any recognizable digits."
Cause
The error occurs due to a security setting issue in Internet Explorer, which prevents a connection from being made.
Solution or Workaround
Add ArcGIS Web Adaptor to the Local Intranet zone in Internet Explorer.
- Launch Internet Explorer and click the Tools button.
- Select 'Internet options' from the drop-down.
- In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
- Select 'Local intranet' and click the Sites button.
- In the Local intranet dialog, click the Advanced button.
- Enter the ArcGIS Web Adaptor address and click Add.
- Click Close.
Note:
Use another web browser to set up ArcGIS Web Adaptor if permission is not given to add sites in Internet Explorer.
