Datum check in appending XML file failed

Error Message

When appending a cadastral XML file from one parcel fabric to another parcel fabric, the following error is returned.

“Datum check in appending XML file failed”

Cause

The projections of the parcel fabrics do not match.

Solution or Workaround

1. Navigate to Data Managment Tools > Projections and Transformations > Feature.
2. Save the cadastral XML file of the projected source fabric.
3. Begin an editing session on the target fabric, and append the new cadastral XML file.
