Error: This application has failed to start because OCI.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
If ArcSDE is installed on a 64-bit operating system server, and accesses a 64-bit Oracle database on the same server, the following error message may be displayed when launching the Post Install Wizard, if ArcSDE was installed using the 32-bit version.
The error is due to the wrong bit version of ArcSDE being installed (e.g., The 32-bit version of ArcSDE installed against a 64-bit Oracle database).
Solution or Workaround
Ensure that ArcSDE 64-bit is installed when on the same server as a 64-bit database.
