Why is the Enable Off-Screen recording option grayed out?
Answer
In ArcScene and ArcGlobe, the Enable Off-Screen recording option is grayed out if the application window is not maximized.Note:
The Enable Off-Screen recording option remains active in ArcMap when the application window is not maximized.
This option can be found from the Animation toolbar > Export Animation... > Options.

To enable this option, maximize the application window.
