FAQ: Is the RASTER_BINARY_TYPE Configuration Parameter Supported in Oracle?

Answer

Starting at ArcSDE 9.2, the RASTER_BINARY_TYPE storage parameter was replaced with the RASTER_STORAGE parameter.

If ArcSDE 9.1 is currently installed, substitute all references to RASTER_STORAGE with RASTER_BINARY_TYPE.

Note:
The RASTER_STORAGE parameter supersedes the RASTER_BINARY_TYPE, which continues to work but is no longer supported.
