BUG

In ArcMap, using 'Save a Copy' of an .mxd from version 9.3 to version 9.2 results in rasters that cannot be viewed in version 9.2

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

In ArcMap 9.3, when a copy is saved to version 9.2 using 'Save a Copy', the resultant .mxd file may contain rasters that disappear in the table of contents as well as in the map extent.

Cause

Using ArcMap 9.3 'Save a Copy' function to save a map document to a version 9.2 .mxd file results in rasters not being translated correctly when opened in version 9.2.

Workaround

The .mxd files saved for version 9.2 from version 9.3 may contain rasters that cannot be viewed in version 9.2.

Re-open the .mxd file in the version 9.3 client to view the raster.
