How To: Enable verbose logging for ArcGIS Server .NET on Windows through ArcCatalog


Instructions provided describe how to enable verbose logging for ArcGIS Server for the .NET framework on Windows. Enabling verbose logging is helpful for troubleshooting technical problems or for monitoring the ArcGIS Server.

  1. Create a Manage GIS Services connection to ArcGIS Server in ArcCatalog.

  2. Right-click the new connection made in Step 1 and select Server Properties.
  3. Select the General tab.
  4. Select the desired logging level, according to the log level descriptions within the Web help topic linked above.
  5. Click OK.
