ERROR
The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library afcore.dll
Error Message
When attempting to open ArcMap, or any other ArcGIS Desktop product, the following error occurs:
"The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library afcore.dll"
Cause
This error is caused by differing versions of ArcGIS products being installed on the same machine.
Solution or Workaround
To avoid any software conflicts, it is important to keep all versions of ArcGIS products installed on the same machine in sync. If one of the ArcGIS products being used is older than another, please upgrade it to match the version of the other ArcGIS product.To find out which ArcGIS products are installed on a machine and their versions, please click the link in Related Information that corresponds with the version of ArcGIS software being used and run the ServicePackFinder utility. For version 9.2, click the link for ArcGIS 9.2 Service Pack 6. For version 9.1, click the link for ArcGIS 9.1 Service Pack 2. For version 9.0, click the link for ArcGIS 9.0 Service Pack 3. There are three separate ServicePackFinder utilities.
