Problem: ArcMap exports on Windows Vista result in garbled or blank raster output
When exporting or printing from ArcMap on Windows Vista operating systems, the resultant exports show garbled, striped, checked, blank, or otherwise incorrect areas of raster data.
This is a known issue in the Windows Vista operating system prior to Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). A fix for this issue is included in Windows Vista SP1.
Solution or Workaround
To resolve the issue, apply Windows Vista Service Pack 1. To verify that Windows Vista SP1 is installed, go to Control Panel and click on Classic View, and double-click on the System applet. The display should show the text 'Service Pack 1' in the upper portion of the dialog box.
