Re-register ArcView Single Use 8.x

Summary

Instructions provided describe how to re-register ArcView Single Use 8.x.

Procedure

1. Start Windows Explorer.
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ESRI\License\SingleUser.
3. Delete any *FX.lic files.
   
   

   Note:
    Deleting any *FX.lic files removes the authorization to use ArcView Single Use and any registered extension. 

   
   
4. Click Start > Programs > ArcGIS > Desktop Administrator > Register ArcView and Extensions > Register Now.
5. Select the option 'I have already registered ArcView and need to register additional GIS extensions.'
   
   

   Note:
   The first option, 'I have installed ArcView and need to register the software,' is grayed out.

   
   
6. Register ArcView and extensions using the EVA registration number.
   
   

   Note:
    Use these steps to re-register ArcView with the UNK registration number when the evaluations time out.
