Output feature cannot be dissolved into inputs because of memory limitations

Description

Output feature <OID> cannot be dissolved into inputs because of memory limitations.

Cause

There is not enough RAM installed on the computer to process the dissolve.

Solution or Workaround

• Install more RAM on the computer.
• Free up resources on the computer. For example:
  - Close all unnecessary software applications and services.
  - Delete all unnecessary files from the system's temporary directory.
  - Defragment the harddrive(s).
  - If used, compact the personal geodatabase.
• Post-process the data sets. For example, run dissolve once, generalize the data, then run dissolve again.
