Upgrading ArcIMS resets the Web site virtual directory and Output virtual directory settings

Description

When upgrading ArcIMS, the Web site virtual directory and Output virtual directory permissions in Internet Information Server (IIS) Manager reset to the default settings.

Cause

The ArcIMS Post Install removes any custom settings placed on the Web site virtual directory and the Output virtual directory.

Solution or Workaround

Re-configure the IIS settings for the Web site virtual directory and Output virtual directory after completing the upgrade.

If the original custom settings on the website virtual directory and output virtual directory are unknown, please contact the Network Administrator or the person who originally configured IIS with ArcIMS.
