Bug: Using the user environment variable ESRI_SOFTWARE_CLASS does not affect which toolbars are available
Using the user environment variable ESRI_SOFTWARE_CLASS to change the software product license taken does not affect which toolbars are available.
For example, if 'ArcView (Floating)' is the Software Product set in the Desktop Administrator, the ArcEditor/ArcInfo-only toolbars Dimensioning and Versioning are available when the user environment variable is set to 'Professional', i.e., ArcInfo, or to 'Editor', i.e., ArcEditor.
This is a known issue.
Set the Software Product in the Desktop Administrator to ArcInfo or ArcEditor.
- Change the ArcGIS Desktop seat type for Citrix or restricted permissions environments
- Run multiple types of ArcGIS software on the same machine
