Identify all fonts used in an ArcMap map document
Summary
Instructions provided describe how to identify what fonts have been used in a map document.
Procedure
This procedure uses functionality available in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat, so a PDF export of the map document in question is needed.- Start ArcMap and open the map document.
- Select File > Export Map.
- Select PDF (*.pdf) from the Save as type drop-down menu.
- Start Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat and open the ArcMap-exported PDF.
- Select File > Document Properties.
- Select the Fonts tab so that all fonts used in the map are listed.
Note:
If the fonts have been embedded, "(embedded subset)" is listed after the font name.
