Identify all fonts used in an ArcMap map document

Summary

Instructions provided describe how to identify what fonts have been used in a map document.

Procedure

1. Start ArcMap and open the map document.
2. Select File > Export Map.
3. Select PDF (*.pdf) from the Save as type drop-down menu.
4. Start Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat and open the ArcMap-exported PDF.
5. Select File > Document Properties.
6. Select the Fonts tab so that all fonts used in the map are listed.
   
   

   Note:
   If the fonts have been embedded, "(embedded subset)" is listed after the font name.
