Error Message

The following error message is displayed when trying to install an ArcGIS Desktop 9.1 Service Pack:

Error:   
"Product Compliance Check
One or more version 9.0.0.0 products"

Cause

One of the ArcGIS Desktop registry keys is corrupted.

1. Navigate to Start > Run, type regedit and click OK.
2. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ESRI\ArcGIS.
3. Look at the key RealVersion. If the Data is 9.0.0.0, proceed to the next step. If the Data is 9.1, contact ESRI Support for additional assistance.
4. Right-click the ArcGIS folder, located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ESRI\, and select Delete.
