FAQ: Is There a Document Type Definition (DTD) Available for ArcIMS?

Answer

At ArcIMS 9.1 and 9.2 the document type definition file arcxml.dtd is installed with the product. On Windows, the default location is:
for ArcIMS 9.1:
C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\ArcIMS\Documentation\ArcXML_Guidefor ArcIMS 9.2:
C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\ArcIMS\Documentation. The DTD can be used to validate ArcXML during requests, responses, and when generating a map configuration file.
