Problem: My Windows Mobile 5 device is not recognized by ActiveSync


When connecting a Windows Mobile 5.0 mobile device to a desktop PC, the unit is not recognized by Microsoft ActiveSync.


The version of ActiveSync you are using is out of date. Windows Mobile 5.0 devices require Microsoft ActiveSync 4.1 or above.
