Instructions provided describe how to replicate the UFO.lyr object used in the ArcGIS 9 - ArcGIS 3D Analyst Tutorial entitled "Working with animations with ArcScene".

Procedure

Follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the Graphics toolbar and select New Graphics layer.
  2. Navigate back to the Graphics toolbar and select the default symbol properties.
  3. Click the point symbol and change it to the 3D Simple Marker symbol of a Tetrahedron. Modify the color and size as necessary.
  4. Use the New Marker tool to add the 3D Graphic point to the scene.

    The newly replicated graphics layer in ArcScene is saved as a .lyr file. Once the track line feature is selected, the replicated graphics layer is selected in the dialog box.
