How To: Replicate the UFO.lyr object used in Exercise 5 of the ArcGIS 3D Analyst tutorial
Instructions provided describe how to replicate the UFO.lyr object used in the ArcGIS 9 - ArcGIS 3D Analyst Tutorial entitled "Working with animations with ArcScene".
Follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the Graphics toolbar and select New Graphics layer.
- Navigate back to the Graphics toolbar and select the default symbol properties.
- Click the point symbol and change it to the 3D Simple Marker symbol of a Tetrahedron. Modify the color and size as necessary.
- Use the New Marker tool to add the 3D Graphic point to the scene.
The newly replicated graphics layer in ArcScene is saved as a .lyr file. Once the track line feature is selected, the replicated graphics layer is selected in the dialog box.
