The font size in an ArcIMS ArcMap Service is out of focus and small

Description

When viewing an ArcIMS ArcMap image service, for example, in an HTML Viewer or ArcMap, the fonts are displayed out of focus and too small.

Cause

The display settings on the ArcIMS Server machine need to be reset.

Solution or Workaround

Note:
The problem may involve hardware - check the monitor and also the video card drivers and, if possible, upgrade to higher resolution hardware.

1. Select the Settings tab in the Control Panel access display and set the Screen Area to 1600 X 1200.
2. Click on the Advanced button and set Font Size to Large Fonts.
   
   If ArcMap and ArcIMS are installed on separate computers, these settings should match on both computers.
