BUG

Fix a RASTERMARKERSYMBOL *.gif showing an extra border

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

RASTERMARKERSYMBOL shows an extra border if the original *.gif has a border defined. This is a known issue.

Cause

This is a limitation of scaling the image, when placing the RASTERMARKERSYMBOL in the coordinates exactly matching the point.

Workaround

Edit the *.gif to prevent this.

  1. USe an Image Editor such as Paint Shop Pro, and the crop tool to remove the border in the GIF image.

  2. Save the edited GIF image and use the new GIF image. No borders are displayed.

    Note:
If the GIF image has 2 black pixels as the border, removing one row and column of black pixels fixes the problem.
