Does the ArcSDE 8.3 Java API support Oracle Java Stored Procedures?
Oracle Java Stored Procedures (JSP) applications using the ArcSDE 8.3 Java API are supported in Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g. However, Oracle does not support JNI, which is used by the ArcSDE 8.3 Java API. As a result, some of the methods in the com.esri.sde.sdk.client.SeShape class are unavailable when using Oracle JSPs. The following is a list of methods in the SeShape class that are supported with Oracle JSP:
· All get* methods, except for getArea(),get3DLength, getLength.
The 9.0 Java API does not have this limitation; the SeShape class has no JNI dependency.
