The single use version of the Data Interoperability extension does not appear to register properly

Description

Using the 'direct' registration method in the ArcView or ArcEditor Single Use registration wizard to register the Data Interoperability extension alone appears not to work. The following message may appear:

"Enter at least one valid registration number or choose not to register any extensions."

Cause

The registration wizard is not properly recognizing the data interoperability extension's authorization number.

Workaround

1. Click OK once the message appears.
2. Click 'Back'.
3. Select not to register any extensions.
4. Complete the wizard and the Data Interoperability extensions register regardless.
