Install the Data Delivery extension (DDE) on a machine other than the ArcIMS host
Summary
The Data Delivery extension (DDE) can be installed on a machine other than the ArcIMS host. If this is necessary, there are several ways to configure DDE on machine B with ArcIMS on machine A. One suggested setup is explained below.
The steps provided are conceptual. Contact ESRI Support to obtain assistance with the implementation.
Procedure
To configure DDE in a distributed environment through a standalone Web server on machine B and then configure DDE to work on that system, which would mean storing the translation results directory on machine B.See the DDE Reference Manual for more information on the necessary install steps. An updated version is available on the ESRI Support site.
Open the fmeDownload.htm file located in the directory for the Web site that was integrated with DDE. Change the HTML viewer request URL to point to the Web server on the DDE host, machine B.
