Error: Access denied
When trying to access http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1, the following message appears in the Web browser:
This usually happens when IP address and domain name restrictions were setup in the Web server properties.
Solution or Workaround
- Open IIS Manager.
- Right-click on the Default Web Site and select Properties.
- Select the Directory Security tab. If restrictions were set, make sure there is an entry to explicitly grant access for 127.0.0.1 (localhost) or edit the list of denied machines as necessary.
- Click OK twice to close the Properties dialog.
