FAQ: Does AIX have settings that can be modified to improve performance of ArcSDE?
Does AIX have settings that can be modified to improve performance of ArcSDE?
Yes. One is tcp_nodelay.
As the root user, execute the ifconfig command to set tcp_nodelay to 1.
ifconfig en0 tcp_nodelay 1
This will improve performance when serving data to non-AIX platforms. If loading data from a different platform, it is recommended this be set to 0.
Refer to the AIX documentation for any questions regarding this setting.
