Why is a hardware key included with ArcIMS 4.0.1?
Answer
The use of ArcMap Server, an extension to ArcIMS, is governed by license manager software. On Windows, this is controlled through the use of a hardware key. For your convenience, a key has been included with ArcIMS 4.0.1. For access to the extension, go to www.myESRI.com to request a keycode.Note:
ArcMap Server, currently available on Windows only, is provided at no additional cost to all ArcIMS users with a current maintenance agreement and can be installed from the ArcIMS Windows CD-ROM. The License Manager Guide, also available on the CD-ROM, provides detailed information about the use of the license manager, keycode, and hardware key.
