ERROR
Note: This article pertains to retired ArcGIS versions 8.x and 9.x. Later versions of ArcGIS may contain different functionality, as well as different names and locations for menus, commands and geoprocessing tools.
When trying to open a feature class in ArcMap or ArcCatalog, the following error occurs:
"Error opening feature class Attribute conversion error[MINN.UG_PARPTS_GEOM][STATE_ID =0]"
The table may contain one or more columns defined as user defined data types. ArcGIS does not interpret most user defined types because they cannot be mapped to ArcSDE data types. (SDO_GEOMETRY is one exception.)
Note: ArcSDE software, including the application server, command tools, and SDK with C and Java APIs, was deprecated at ArcGIS 10.2.2 and is no longer distributed. ArcGIS software features were deprecated, rather than immediately removed, to provide customers with backward compatibility and give as much advance notice as possible to adopt newer technology.
Do not use register tables or feature classes that contain user defined types with ArcSDE.
