Unable to register the DLL/OCX. The DllRegisterServer call failed

Error Message

After installing ArcGIS Desktop and rebooting, the following error message displays:

Error configuring ArcInfo
Unable to register the DLL/OCX. The DllRegisterServer call failed.

Cause

An incompatiable version of comcat.dll.
