You may receive this error message when using a Macintosh to access the online Help from within ArcView:

"That file cannot be opened by this version of QuickHelp. Either it has been damaged or it was intended for a different version of QuickHelp."

Exit all applications and rebuild your desktop.

Reboot your Macintosh.
Hold down the Command and Option key during the reboot process.
Click OK when asked to rebuild the desktop.
