System error 9 in WSERVICE_RUN loop
Error Message
Starting the ArcStorm weather service with the WSERVICE command returns the following:
ArcStorm weather service 8.2 (Wed Feb 27 16:31:34 PST 2002) started.
System error 9 in WSERVICE_RUN loop.
Somehow svc_run returned!
Cause
The 64-bit version of HP UNIX requires a limit on the descriptors.
Solution or Workaround
Set the following in the .cshrc file of the user account that will start the weather service.
limit descriptors 2048
