Set the selectable layers in the ArcMap Table of Contents

ArcGIS 8.1.2 has the ability to set selectable layers in the Table of Contents.

Procedure

Note:
At Version 10.0, the basic user interface elements of the Main menu and Standard toolbars for ArcMap and ArcCatalog were changed. For example, the Tools menu was changed to Customize. For more information, see: ArcGIS Desktop 9.3 Help: Basic user interface elements, and the current ArcGIS Desktop Help: Basic user interface elements.

1. Click the Tools menu.
2. Click Options.
3. Click the TOC tab.
4. Check the selection checkbox and click Apply.
