Find field definitions of a table

Summary

This article shows how to find the field definitions of a table by running the tinfo.ave Avenue script.

Procedure

1. Open a new script window.
   
   
   A. Activate the Project window.
   B. Click the Scripts icon.
   C. Click New.
   
   
2. Click Script > Load Text File.
3. Navigate to the ..\ESRI\AV_GIS30\ArcView\Samples\tinfo.ave sample script and click OK.
   
   

   Note:
   This script displays a message box, which contains the structure of the fields in the table.

   
   
4. Click the compile button.
   
   
5. Make the table active.
6. Click the run button.
   
   
7. Click OK when the message box pops up.
